Supply and Demand

Who wants to talk transparency for a minute?!

Since Covid first hit us all almost 2 years ago, as a small business we have had to make many new small - yet major for us - investments in items just to keep us/you all safe and moving forward, such as sanitizers, masks, gloves, more to-go containers and bags than we imagined, etc. Most of these items carried unstable swinging costs (at times up to 500% more costly than normal!!) all of which we have absorbed in the business operations during these uncertain times. Our costs associated with take out boxes, bags, cups, ramekins, and cutlery have all significantly increased in price and seen serious supply chain shortages (which means we tie up even more money in keeping an added backstock so that you don’t see any inconsistencies in service). Absorbing these costs has been overwhelming in the least and with many more compounding supply chain issues now, it would be unhealthy for our business operations to ignore this further.
After careful consideration, we will need to implement a $0.75 surcharge on all take out orders starting Wednesday 1/12/21 to help us manage the growing costs of our compostable takeout goods, I know not great news for our dedicated to-go orderers, but we hope this bit of transparency allows you to see the other side…the Good news! - you can continue to count on our integrity of work practices and products (unless supply chain forces otherwise) - using only eco-friendly, plant-based compostable products to help us keep you and mother earth healthy.
Thanks for hanging in there with us while we share these moments with you that allow us all to keep growing in community together. Please reach out if you have questions, concerns, or have figured out a good way to implement other resources that are earth, cost and community friendly.
