Our Community projects
Hawbridge School - Hawbridge Garden Club, Hawbridge Dines, and SaxConnex Internship Program
We are happy to be able to share with the next generation what we do and why we feel it's important. We have started a garden club to help students learn about gardening and purchase some of the food grown by the students to use in our restaurant. Twice a month students are invited up to the Pub for a sit down lunch featuring a talk with Chef Isaiah as he describes what goes in to each meal and why. We also are thrilled to be a part of the Internship program to mentor students and give them some "real world" training in the restaurant business.
Alamance Food Collaborative
We are proud to support this initiative created by Healthy Alamance to focus on policy, networks, and access to support food access within Alamance County. We host regular Food Collaborative meetings, as well as offer workshops to the public through Healthy Alamance.
Community Donations and Non-Profit Tuesdays
We are glad to be able to share what we have with those that need it. We have hosted numerous non-profit meetings in our Function room (for Free on Tuesdays!!) and donated countless gift certificates to support a variety of endeavours in our community.
